    • You don’t know what you’re missing. Mushrooms are all about savory, that fifth taste they call “umami”. If you’re lucky enough to have access to multiple versions, you can layer the flavors and textures.

      Mushrooms go really well with beef or chicken, so using them as a base is excellent, but they also work well with a cream base.
